Severe Weather Conditions Procedures – Nanaimo IELTS Test
Dear IELTS Nanaimo Candidates and Staff,
The season of ice and snow is once again upon us, so we ask that all Nanaimo Candidates familiarize themselves with our Snow Closure Procedures. Please read the following carefully:
Here is a brief overview:
If any of VIU’s campuses or regional facilities need to be closed due to extreme weather conditions, the closure will be communicated to all registered Nanaimo candidates and employees in the following ways:
A message will be posted on the emergency banner on the homepage of IELTS Victoria’s website
A message will be posted to Twitter @ieltsvictoria
A message will be posted to Global Village – IELTS Victoria’s Facebook page
An email message will be sent from IELTS Victoria to all registered candidates.
Please check your junk email folders to ensure that email messages have not been filed there.
Information will be updated as appropriate throughout the day
Every effort will be made to communicate these messages by 7:00 am on the day of the closure.
There may be times when weather conditions change quickly and a decision to close the test will need to be made after 7:00 am.
The most up-to-date information will be found on VIU’s main website: www.viu.ca and www.ieltsvictoria.com
There may also be unforeseen circumstances when individual candidates or staff can not commute to the campus due to weather conditions in the area in which they reside. In these circumstances, candidates should notify the Test Centre by email or leave a voicemail at 250-220-3993 with your full name, phone number, and an explanation of the circumstances.
